Wakeboarding and kiteboarding is an intense water sport which puts a lot of pressure on your knees, especially the ligaments and tendons of the back leg. Due to the twisting movements of the back knee while increasing speed or maneuvering the board, athletes are a high risk of ACL and MCL tears.

  1. How it works

    Our brace expert will personally measure and fit you where and when convenient for you. The procedure takes approximately one hour and requires no special preparation by your side.
    At measurments you pay 50% of bracing cost.
    The manufacturing process takes 60-80 days. After production, we send the brace to you, help with fitting and trains in the use of the brace.

    Yamibrace can be used to prevent or after an injury. The stiffness combined with a custom fit protects the knee from rotational forces and lateral impact. The hinge system in the brace, developed by Yamibrace, follows the natural movement of the knee, which feels comfortable while bending and stretching the knee. This product is indicated for:
    – Knee instability
    – Rotation control
    – Knee ligament instabilities (including ACL, MCL, LCL, and PCL)
    – Knee strains and sprains
    – Hyperextension

    • Braces are not afraid of water and temperatures, you can use Yamibrace wherever you want. Brace is resistant to dirt, sand and salt water, easy to clean, just rinse in warm running water.
    • Leg shells are manufactured from 7 lays of carbon sheets (prepreg).
    • Titanium frame and hinges
    • 4 non-elastic strong woven belts with velcro
    • Carbon knee cups with soft inner pad

This procedure typically takes about 1 hour. We’ll measure the joint’s width, identify the leg’s axis, determine the brace’s length, and create impressions using plastic cast.
